Achievements
All 28 Steam achievements and how to unlock each one.
Almost all achievements can be done solo, but a friend helps for a few. A 100% achievement run takes roughly 8β15 hours, most of it spent grinding rare/shiny catches. The three hardest are Bean (1-hour clear), Handyman (fist-only final boss) and Fishipedia (all shiny fish).
| # | Achievement | How to Unlock |
|---|---|---|
Getting Started | Kill any creature for the first time. Naturally obtained.
Drip | Kill any drip (shiny/rainbow-named) creature for the first time. Catch it, then kill it.
Who Stole My Beer | Use beer as bait to pull out the Spider Crab, kill it, and bring the corpse to the Lighthouse Keeper. Upgrade your weapon (knuckles help) before the fight; sidestep its charge to stun it, but don't get greedy.
Noob | Get any kill while no kill-score multiplier (headshot/combo/precision) is active. Deliberately "body paint", don't scope and aim precisely.
Getting an Upgrade | Upgrade the engine for your boat. Costs 230 in the Island 2 hut. If missed, the Island 3 upgrade also counts but costs more.
Dinnertime | Catch a fish, grill it first, then turn it in to the Lady by the swamp on Island 2.
Impressive | Get a kill while the 5x killscore multiplier is active. Skip aiming down sights, jump-shot headshots, or hit a seagull in flight from range.
Let Me Go | Die first, then wait for a passing seagull to carry you away.
Grillmaster | Start the grill for the first time. On Island 3 the grill master asks for a shark; do that and the grill unlocks (grilling raises a catch's value up to 1.5x).
GOLD GOLD GOLD | Get a Legendary (gold) skin as a slots reward. Pure luck β feed it premium fish.
360 No Scope | Kill any creature with a 360-degree spin without a sight. Hip-fire only, complete the full spin before firing, and use a weak bait to guarantee a one-shot.
Vacation | Help a tourist who can't swim. Trade an endangered fish (e.g. seahorse) to the NPC for bait, then catch and kill the Pufferfish boss (it sprays poison in phase 2).
Fully Equipped | Unlock and apply every available upgrade on a single weapon. Cheapest on the Uzi; save ~2500 and upgrade all mods.
I Am Speed | Get the best engine for the boat. Buy it in the house on Island 4.
Yummy in My Tummy | Eat a burnt creature. Fully burn any edible creature on the grill, then consume it.
Terrorizing Bird | Save the islanders from the Terrorizing bird. On Island 4 buy the 1200 pro lure to catch a Tuna, drop it on the ground to bait a diving seagull, and trigger the fight.
Deadliest Catch | Join the military campaign to defeat the big creature. On Island 5 give the scientist 5 fish for whale bait, then catch and kill the whale.
We Are So Back | Complete the game. Hand the final boss trophy to the NPC to finish the ending.
All In | Play roulette, bet on green and win (green pays x35). Only available on the last two islands.
Competitive Eating | Consume a mini-boss. Eat any non-quest mini-boss after defeating it.
I'm the Bird Now | Make your ship fly. Throw dynamite under the boat.
Easy | Kill any boss in under 10 seconds. Use a fully-upgraded rifle on the Spider Crab.
Collector | Catch and kill every creature in the game. Check the encyclopedia, systematically fish with each matching lure; all lures are buyable on the final island.
Everyone's Dream | Use dynamite to kill a seagull. Place dynamite and a fish on the ground, back away, and blow it up as the seagull dives for the fish.
Handyman | Defeat the final boss using only your hands. Weapon it down to a sliver, then finish with a bare-fist punch (environmental damage doesn't count).
Fishipedia | Find and kill all shiny variants of every creature. Very grindy; on the final island cast as far as possible and reel in on rainbow effects.
Bean | Complete the game in just one hour. Requires a well-practiced speedrun route β very hard.
Rich! Millionaire | Wait for a precious catch and sell it for 100,000 or more in a single sale.
